Information and advice for travelling abroad
Travel Vaccination
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, you may need extra immunisations. You will need to visit a local travel clinic to obtain advice on what vaccinations will be required.
Details of travel clinics
You can look up where you are going and what vaccinations you may need on the Travel Health Pro website. This is a helpful website which is kept updated by the World Health Organisation (WHO), and gives information on current outbreaks and malaria.
The NHS offer Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Tetanus vaccines free of charge, and these are available here at Bersted Green Surgery. Other travel vaccinations are not held in stock and are purchased as required. There will be a cost to you for vaccinations not covered by the NHS.
Please book an appointment once you have obtained advice from a travel clinic. You will need an appointment with the practice nurse at least 8 weeks before your holiday, to give us and you time to arrange the injections required. More time is needed if backpacking or trekking in third-world countries or planning a long stay.
