The surgery is open and we are available to speak with you within our normal working hours. We want and need to know if you are unwell or worried about your health.
If you call the surgery (or request our help via eConsult) you will get through to our Patient Care Coordinators who will ask you some questions in order to arrange your care. Supported by their training and our team of clinicians, they will signpost you to the most appropriate practitioner.
This could include a GP, Paramedic Practitioner, Mental Health Worker, Physiotherapist, Nurse or even our Practice Pharmacist, as well as a variety of other professionals.
Often your initial consultation will be via telephone to allow your practitioner to take an initial history, arrange any tests or investigations you may need, or to get you a prescription straight away. If they feel there is a clinical need to see you in person they will then bring you in either the same day, or at a date in the future once your tests are complete.
Some conditions and procedures require a face-to-face appointment initially, and if this is the case for you our team will arrange this for you. The use of our multidisciplinary team and telephone consultations when able helps us to have in person GP appointments available to get you booked in swiftly to see a doctor when you most need it.
Thank you for your support in working with us in such uncertain times. Like many, we have had to change the way we work very quickly and that has only been possible because you – our patients – have adapted to these changes.
Please see video below national video which explains the process and the reasons for it in more detail.
