Booking an Appointment

Online Appointments

We have introduced a new service that will allow you to book and cancel appointments online. You will need to complete an application form at the surgery to access the online service, and once registered you will be given the information you need to enable you to create your own username and password.

If you already registered to use this service you can access it here:

Doctors are available for consultation between 8.30 and 6.00pm. Please note your doctors stagger their consultation times to allow early and late appointments.

There are also "extended access" appointments available earlier in the morning and later in the evening. These are mainly intended for working people who have difficulty getting to the surgery during the ordinary working week.

Consultation is by appointment only. As well as Online, appointments can be made by telephone (864843) or directly at the appointment desk during opening hours. The appointment line is open from 8.00am - 6.30pm.

Please help us by contacting us in good time and cancelling any appointments you may have and no longer need, in order that they may be used for other patients. Thank you.

Same Day

We have introduced a triage system to ensure that any patient who contacts us for advice or treatment on the same day will have access to one of our clinicians. If you feel acutely unwell or have an urgent query then our receptionists will ask you for a few details to pass onto that days triage team. They do this to ensure that emergency requests are not delayed. If you are not happy to provide this information then please inform the receptionist that it is personal.

You may be called back by a GP or nurse practitioner who will discuss your problem with you. For conditions not requiring a physical examination they may be able to help you with advice over the telephone. This greatly increases the number of patients we are able to help and saves you a trip to the surgery. However should you need to be seen an appointment time will be agreed with you.

You can pre-book an appointment for up to 2 weeks in advance. You have the right to express a preference of practitioner and we will always try to comply with that request, but sometimes due to annual leave, training etc, it may not always be possible to book you with the person you ask for.

More appointments to help with demand

We are improving access to appointments

From 01 October, GP and nurse appointments are now available during the evening and at the weekend for people across Coastal West Sussex.

This means that urgent appointments are available up to 8pm during the week, and during clinics on a Saturday and Sunday.

This aims to improve access to GP appointments and help local people to get the help and support they need.

The service is run by Innovations in Primary Care (IPC), a not-for-profit company owned by local GP practices.

The appointments will be available at local GP access hubs, run from GP surgeries, and they will be both routine and urgent appointments with a doctor, nurse or healthcare professional.

The teams will see new illnesses when you urgently need to see a health professional, and offer planned appointments such as family planning and smear tests that can be hard to arrange whilst at work or when you are caring for family or a loved one.

IPC has been running the MIAMI clinics in Adur and Worthing for the last three years, which has offered a very similar service, offering help for ‘Minor Injury Assessment & Minor Illnesses’.

These clinics have been successful and helped local people to access the help they need outside of normal opening times.

We hope that this roll out of the hubs across the whole of Coastal West Sussex will mean that all patients registered with a GP practice in our area can benefit.

You book into the GP access hubs via your normal GP practice, and you may be offered an appointment at one of the hubs at the weekend if you call NHS 111 for urgent health advice and support.

The hubs may be at your GP practice or they may be at a neighbouring GP practice locally in the community around you.

The teams will have access to your medical records with your consent, and any care they provide will be added to your notes so your GP practice can continue any ongoing care.

Patients can book into these appointments by calling your registered GP practice in the normal way, and they will be able to access the booking system and make sure you receive the help and support you need.

Nurses’ clinic appointments are normally booked in advance.

Please ring the surgery on 864843. You can also make appointments directly at the appointment desk during opening hours.

The practice is occasionally involved in the training of medical students. You may decline to be seen by a student if you wish. The surgery is closed one afternoon a month for staff training (EN)
